Brewery owner arrested for vile sex attack on a child after breaking into girl’s home… as company breaks silence on horrifying charges

The co-owner of a popular brewery in North Carolina has been arrested after authorities say he broke into a 13-year-old girl’s home and raped her.

Justin Tawse Brigham, 44, the co-owner of Sycamore Brewing in Charlotte, was arrested on Thursday and was charged with three felonies – including statutory rape of a child under 15, first-degree burglary and indecent liberties with a child, the Charlotte Observer reports.

The Stanly County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a call at a home in Stanfield at around midnight on Wednesday, after Brigham was reportedly found in the girl’s bedroom by her parents.

When deputies then arrived at the scene, they said they found Brigham completely naked in a nearby car, according to WCNC.

The alleged creep is now being held on a $10 million bond, as the investigation continues.

If he is able to post bail, Judge Tou Thai Vang ordered him to surrender his passport, banned him from leaving the state, ordered him to not have any contact with the victim and ordered him to stay off social media.

Meanwhile, Brigham’s wife, Sarah Taylor, the other co-owner of the brewery, released a statement on social media saying that her husband divested all interest in the company and will not have any future involvement.

She said she has assumed full leadership of the brewery, which is the largest in Charlotte and is one of the city’s most popular spots, according to WSOC.

‘I am devastated by the charges against Justin and the pain this has inflicted on our family and others,’ Taylor said in the statement.

‘Our team remains our highest priority as a mom and business owner,’ she added.

But just hours after her statement was shared, Freya’s Haus – a beer garden on the North Carolina coast – announced on Facebook it was pulling all Sycamore Brewing products and donating to a local rape crisis center.

Bargarita and Hoppin’ in Charlotte also shared they were no longer serving Sycamore beers.
