Everything we know about potential Nor’Easter next week as urgent warning issued to specific locations

A potential Nor’Easter storm is predicted to hit the US next week, and here are the cities experts say it will impact.
Just recently, America has seen a wave of freezing weather, after a major cross-country storm system led to the cancellation of more than 1,900 flights within, into or out of the US on Saturday (November 29) and more than 8,000 delays, per Flight Aware.
Chicago O’Hare International Airport saw more than 1,000 cancellations alone, and other locations like Indiana – which reported a 45-car pileup on I-70 near Terre Haute – was forced to attend major disruptions on its roads due to the snowfall.
However, our weather woes may only just be getting started, with a Nor’Easter apparently on the way next week. This is everything you need to know before it hits.

The Nor’Easter is predicted to bring snow to parts of the US
What is a Nor’Easter?
According to the National Weather Service, a Nor’Easter is a storm that travels along the East Coast of North America, with winds that usually come from the northeast.
While the storms can happen at any time, Nor’Easters occur more often between September and April, where they have been viewed to be violent.
Nor’Easters of the past include the 1888 Blizzard, the Ash Wednesday storm in 1962, and the Boston snowstorms that caused chaos in January and February of 2015.
Depending on the severity of the storm, Nor’Easters have been known to cause billions of dollars in damage, disruption to transportation, coastal flooding, and more.
Which locations will be impacted by the Nor’Easter?
Fox Weather meteorologists have forecasted that snow, or plain rain could hit New York City depending on how the storm develops over the next few days.
The meteorologists, who are tracking a low-pressure system in the western US that is predicted to move east over the next several days, said the system’s energy will bring snow across the Rockies and High Plains this weekend before travelling to the Midwest on Monday, where it may bring light snow and travel issues.

Fox meteorologists have been tracking its movements
By Tuesday and Wednesday, the system may turn into a Nor’Easter off the East Coast, bringing heavier snow along the I-95 corridor, which includes areas like Philadelphia, New York City and Washington, D.C.
Forecasters have predicted that the Northeast could see heavier snow, or rain if the warmer ocean air is pulled inland from the sea.
Three to five inches of snow may be brought to lower Hudson Valley on Tuesday, and all of NYC may see its weather turn to rain and one to two inches of precipitation.
Northwest New Jersey has the potential to see one to three inches of snow on Tuesday and Montana, North and South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin’s temperatures are predicted to drop to freezing levels.
Meanwhile, today and going into tomorrow (December 1), up to 12 inches of snow is expected in the Cottonwoods and Wasatch Plateau in Utah and the Eastern San Juan Mountains in Colorado, according to the National Weather Service.
Stay safe out there, folks.
