Fresh health fears for Bill Clinton as he shows up to NYC marathon with massive bandage on his face
Former President Bill Clinton was spotted in New York City on Sunday with a curious sight on his face.
The 42nd president was spotted alongside his wife, former First Lady and later Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, with a bandage on his face as the duo cheered on their daughter Chelsea at the finish line of the New York City Marathon.
The bandage, covering up a mysterious injury, is just the latest sign of the 79-year-old former President’s deteriorating health.
Earlier this year, he was spotted on an airport tarmac with a defibrillator close to him.
A health scare last year sent him to the hospital with a fever and suspected dehydration, and yet still that was far from the most serious ailment the former president is known to have had.
In 2004, he had a quadruple bypass operation to clear severe arterial blockages. The following year, he underwent treatment for a collapsed lung. In 2010, doctors performed another open-heart surgery to remove an obstruction and inserted two stents. He was later hospitalized for a short time during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite the health pressures Clinton has been under, he has still notably made time for political activities.
The Clintons carved out time to bring in campaign cash, but not for congressional questions about their former associate Jefferey Epstein, as they dodged a deposition before a top investigative committee in the US House of Representatives earlier this month.

Virginia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger pulled in a record-breaking $2.2 million at a McLean, Virginia fundraiser earlier this month —with Bill and Hillary Clinton as her star attractions.
The event, hosted by former Virginia Democrat Governor Terry McAuliffe at his home, drew more than 350 donors and became the ‘largest gubernatorial fundraiser in Virginia history,’ according to Politico.
But the Clintons’ appearance came with uncomfortable timing.
Bill Clinton was subpoenaed by House Republicans in August to testify about his ties to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein on Tuesday and Hillary was also called to appear.
House Oversight Chairman James Comer issued the deposition subpoenas on August 5th, calling both Clintons to appear in October.
After the retirement of longtime Democrat Representative Jerrold Nadler, Chelsea Clinton was floated as a potential contender for his seat alongside Kennedy heir Jack Schlossberg.
Jack, whose full name is John Bouvier Kennedy Schlossberg, is the grandson of President John F. Kennedy.
